Ladybubgs help our environment!

Ladybugs live in the hedge, they are clever because when other predators approch them, they pretend to be dead and the predators leave them alone.

Ladybugs have bright colours so sometimes you don't see them because they act as a camouflage which helps them blend into their environment. They can be black and yellow, blue and black and red.
Ladybugs eat aphids and they can eat up to 5,000 aphids a day.
Did you know that lady bugs are not actually  bugs they are beetles.
Ladybugs protect themselves using their colours, their colours warn other predators to stay away.
The best time to look for ladybugs are between May and October. During winter ladybugs stay together to keep warm.

Ladybugs are important because they help our envioronment to be rid of smaller insects that might affect our vegetation.

Learning Intention: We are learning to write a description.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I follow the sructure of a description to write about ladybugs.Image result for ladybugs
