When ants fight, it is usually to death!
Ant are little tiny insects they live in may different places. Ants can also be called formicidae. There are more than 12,000 species of ants all over the world. Ants can live up to three months.
There are brown, black and reds ants. The red are fire ants they can bite. Formicidaes eat leaves they can eat up to two millagrams per day. They also eat food scrapes. When ants fight, it is usually to death, ants fight because they want to have access to food. Ants protect themselves by defending themselves and spraying chemicals on their body. You can usually find ants in your house or on mud. They did very deep holes and those holes become their habitat.
Formicidaes are important because they help our inviouronment to stay clean and keeps their predators to stay away from the gardens.

Ladybubgs help our environment!
Ladybugs live in the hedge, they are clever because when other predators approch them, they pretend to be dead and the predators leave them alone.
Ladybugs have bright colours so sometimes you don't see them because they act as a camouflage which helps them blend into their environment. They can be black and yellow, blue and black and red.
Ladybugs eat aphids and they can eat up to 5,000 aphids a day.
Did you know that lady bugs are not actually bugs they are beetles.

The best time to look for ladybugs are between May and October. During winter ladybugs stay together to keep warm.
